Lots of WOKR people here. Diana Whiteman, Don Alhart, Jim Redmond, Patrice Walsh, Charlotte, Bill Peterson, Doug Embledge (as Sports) and a few others whose names I can’t remember.
Diana was brought in to be a co-anchor with Don and now lives on the West Coast with her family. Jim Redmond was our investigative reporter and went on to be PR Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Patrice stayed for many years and retired in 2018. Sadly Bill passed, but we remember him in his prime here, always happy and full of jokes. Doug was hired to anchor an early evening program we did called Newscope. It was disbanded and so he chose to stay and do sports reporting.
The Rochester Loves You theme was so popular with the viewers. Probably the most successful promotional we have ever run in the history of the station.
