Audio Board One

This was the first audio board I worked with at WOKR. TThe audio board is to the left of the video switcher. The audio op sat side by side to the director. Between the two boards was the copy book that contained the scripts for the live commercial slide spots we needed to run in the newscast: slides with an audio cart. Below that is the remote roll panel for the audio cart decks (which you can see behind my head.) Yes we used records on the air, lots of them.

We were taping Black Dimensions this night and Barbara Rogers’ husband Jim, a professional photographer had come into the station to watch the taping. He took this photo of me. I was so happy when he delivered this to me the following week.
