Bob and Jean Erskine
Bob worked in engineering as an supervisor. Bob had a tough task herding the engineers into quiet submission. But he was always generous with his time and could laugh along with us when we were enjoying some fun.

At that time Rich Miller worked nights and he was often getting involved in entertaining activities, such as recreating the takeover of the Washington Monument in 1982 by hostages. He built a reproduction of the monument on one of the engineering carts surrounded by media, helicopters etc. Bob had his fill of this occasional entertainment at night and told someone to tell the night crew to “knock it off and get back to work.”

Bob was very clever about broadcasting equipment and he has been an amateur radio operator all of his life.
