Charlotte and Sue

Charlotte and Sue were considered “other departments” for some time. Charlotte was our public affairs director and Sue was our executive secretary. Sue essentially ran the inner workings of WOKR and WHAM. The range of her responsibilities was truly amazing and there is no doubt that anyone after her could not fully fill her shoes.

Charlotte single-handed produced her program every week. That including researching topics, finding experts or people who were involved in these topics and then arranging for the day they could come to the studio. Often these programs were feature rich with videos, photos, music and performances. The directors had to prepare all this material ahead of time. Charlotte has left us a legacy of rich history in our community. Out of all the folks at the station I have known these two are very favorite people.
